What the council asks for (14)

Hold valid public liability insurance of minimum £10 million
Apply and pay at least 5 working days in advance
Must not erect structure before licence start date
Scafftag system at all legal access points, visible at ground level
Scaffolding minimum 450mm from carriageway edge or use protection measures
Fix scaffolding to adjacent structure or use external bracing
Prevent falling debris/objects with suitable measures
No sharp ends or unprotected nuts/bolts for first 2m above highway
High visibility plastic plates under base plates on highway surface
Adequate lighting 30 minutes before sunset and after sunrise
Maintain pedestrian access and safe routes at all times
Display 24-hour contractor name and emergency telephone number on site
Inspect scaffolding at least every seven days by a competent person
Dismantle and remove structure before end of licensed period
